Home Care in Sacramento CA
February’s Happy Times Café was truly a blast and we were delighted to have the participants who braved the rain to come out and have fun with us. The dual theme for the Café for February was that of Hawaiian music and culture and about love and kindness. We played Hawaiian music and MaryAnn played Ukulele for us and taught us some common hula movements. We also distributed random acts of kindness kits that had small simple items we could share to help make someone else’s day such as cards, candy, hug coupons and change for parking. We made homemade Valentine’s day cards that we shared with each other and had some wonderful organic refreshments that included homemade lentil soup, strawberries, and pineapple & veggies with hummus, YUM!! To get us moving we did a fun activity using stretch bands and each other to go around the room and show off our playful side. The best part however was the time we got to spend chatting and getting to know one another better as friends. The next Café is Thursday March 9th from 2p-4p and we will be celebrating spring & have a St. Patrick’s Day theme.
