Home Care in Sacramento CA
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2016 CAREGIVER OF THE YEAR & HEART & SOUL AWARD WINNER!!!
Each year, we celebrate one Caregiver of the Year who is also our Heart & Soul Winner for the full year. This year, this winner is Michelle S, who will receive an award of $1,000.
Michelle has been with us now for 6 years. She has always been dependable – arrives to shifts on time, very rarely calls off, and picks up backup shifts whenever needed. All through the years, Michelle has been popular with all clients and is requested over and over. She’s also a very good communicator with us in regards to client changes and is flexible when something in her schedule changes. She’s great at just letting things roll off her back, such as a time when a client tried to “run her down” in her car! J Ahh, good times,
Michelle, we’re glad you’re ours and you are so deserving of the title of Caregiver of the Year for 2016! Congratulations!
Choosing a Caregiver of the Year is always a difficult task given the number of wonderful caregivers that we have. We wanted to also make sure we recognized and rewarded a few other Caregivers that were also stand-outs during the year. We are happy to announce that we have 3 runner-ups to Caregiver of the Year. Congratulations to Lori L, Christina R., and Palepa F.
Lori started with us in 2013. She has always been a very stable, capable, and responsible Home Care Aide. She has a long-time client with rather difficult circumstances that she has to deal with, but handles everything like the pro she is! Lori is a sweet person with a calm demeanor, which has a very calming effect on difficult clients. We get reports from her almost daily and she takes initiative to solve problems on her own in her client’s home. She’s extremely responsible and we can always count on her to be at her shift; she has rarely called off. We’re very grateful to her and congratulate her on being our Runner-Up Caregiver of the Year!
Palepa has been with ApexCare for nine years, and has been a tremendous asset to our team. She takes care of each client as if they were her own family, providing professional, loving care to each individual. Everyone she has worked with over the years has nothing but praise for Palepa, often telling us that she is “like family” and complimenting her excellent care. Palepa is proactive with her clients; they never have to ask for help because she anticipates their needs and is always looking for other things she can do for them. She is dependable, too, rarely missing a shift or calling off sick, something her clients appreciate so much.
Choosing a Caregiver of the Year is always a difficult task given the number of wonderful caregivers that we have. We wanted to also make sure we recognized and rewarded other Caregivers that were also stand-outs during the year. Christina is one of those amazing caregivers and we are proud to announce her as a Runner Up, which entitles her to a $250 award. Congratulations Christina!
Ever since Cristina joined us a little more than a year ago, she has been one of our valued “go-to” caregivers. She’s always happy to take a backup shift, even if inconvenient. She once left a child’s ballgame to accommodate us; another time, after completing 2 shifts in Yolo County, she drove from Woodland to Citrus Heights to cover a last minute call off. That’s dedication! Not only that, but every client she’s had just loves her. We so appreciate Cristina, and are happy to award her Runner-Up Caregiver of the Year for 2016.
